We have received a couple of questions about the cost increase for registration for Big Boy Pride. We wanted to take a moment to readdress this.
We believe in the value of what is offered when you participate in Big Boy Pride. After the Parliament House unexpectedly closed for good, we were able to secure a space where BBP can grow for years to come. Our new home is Hilton Doubletree SeaWorld Resort located off I Drive Orlando, FL. This amazing property is nestled on 28 acres of land and offers so much enjoyment and relaxation for Big Boy Pride attendees.Moving to a hotel of this caliber, there will be many costs added that we did not include in the budget for the event we planned at the Parliament House. While we were able to negotiate really low rates for the rooms, we will have added costs for sound, lighting, storage, meeting space, and security at a union affiliated hotel. To keep any added costs to you at a minimum, we will have to make some changes to events as well.
In the past, we have relied very heavily on a few committed volunteers to keep BBP running. As the event has grown, volunteers have not, unfortunately. To some extent, that is very understandable because people want to come and have fun and we want you to. However, the few staff that are onboard have worked so hard that they are exhausted. In addition, they register for the event, cover many of their own expenses and take vacation time from their jobs. There isn't ANYONE that receives a salary or an income from this event besides the paid talent. ALL registration proceeds go back into the marketing, production, execution and other costs associated with the event. It’s not possible to continue to successfully execute an event that has grown to this magnitude with just a handful of people. To this end, we will have to support our staff better by hiring outside assistance to help with some of the needs of the event in addition to all the other costs with the event.
Furthermore, we are blessed to have so many people that return every year and we strive to take each year to a higher level, incorporating something new and different from previous years.

The Official Big Boy Pride is designated for all adult same-gender loving, larger men of color and those who love and support them. This environment is about brotherhood, unity, self-love, uplifting one another and good natured fun. We hope that all attendees will come with their mind set on those areas. You must be at least 21 to participate. And yes, women are allowed to attend. Just please remember that this is a LGBTQ+ event.

When you register, you must purchase your Participant Package plus your first-night deposit, taxes, and fees. You will be required to present a valid credit or debit card at the time of check-in to cover your remaining nights, taxes, fees and incidentals. On the website, we accept credit/debit cards and e-checks through a secure and protected payment service for your Participant Package and hotel deposit.
We have blocked all rooms at the Hilton Doubletree SeaWorld. Our contract with the HIlton Doubletree, states that we are financially responsible for all rooms not accounted for and so we are requiring that all participants book a minimum of three (3) nights.

*Participants who purchase the Participant Package after March 1, 2022 will not receive BBP Gift Bag.

Participant Packages:
The participant package and first-night deposit are refundable minus an administrative fee of $35 until December 30, 2021. Neither is transferable. The Participant Package fee and room deposits are not refundable after December 30, 2021. Day Passes or non-refundable and are not transferable.
The Official Big Boy Pride has a proven history of producing quality events that meet the expectations of attendees, and it will continue to do so. In very rare circumstances, Big Boy Pride may have to make schedule adjustments when events occur outside of The Official Big Boy Pride's control.
The Official Big Boy Pride reserves the right to postpone the Big Boy Pride event, related event(s), in our sole discretion. If Big Boy Pride postpones an event, we will use reasonable efforts to reschedule the postponed event to within six (6) months from its original start date. Registration fees paid by Participants for a postponed Big Boy Pride event shall apply to the rescheduled event or the next year's Big Boy Pride. This will be the Participant's choice. The Official Big Boy Pride is not responsible for airline tickets, other tickets or payments, or any similar fee penalties or related or unrelated losses, costs and/or expenses Participants may incur or have incurred as a result of any trip cancellations or changes.
In no event shall The Official Big Boy Pride be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, venue cancellations or closures; civil or military disturbances, earthquakes; fires; floods; wars; sabotage; strikes; epidemics; and riots.
Installment Plans:
The Official Big Boy Pride Installment plans are available to help you purchase your registration for this event, and if applicable your first-night room deposit. Please read the Terms & Conditions carefully.
All installment plans must be paid in full prior to the start of The Official Big Boy Pride 2022 for your registration/room deposit to be valid. Installment plans cannot be canceled in accordance with our Terms & Conditions. Please be confident of your purchase of the installment plan and your participation in The Official Big Boy Pride 2022 event. In accordance with our refund policy, please be aware that there are no refunds for paid or partially paid plans. In the event of non-payment, any deposited funds are forfeited to Big Boy Pride. Please check your shopping cart carefully before checking out. Any service fees for the payment plan will appear in the total. We are unable to make any changes to your payment plan once your order has been submitted. You must always have a valid form of payment on file during your installment plan. In the event of a declined charge, the system will cancel your plan from automatic withdrawals and switch it to manual invoices for the remaining payments. Invoices that are unpaid after 7 days will be considered in default. Plans that are in default will follow the terms of a non-payment. You agree to abide by BBP's Installment Plan Terms by initiating and making the first payment of this installment plan.
Day Passes:
Day Passes are non refundable and are not transferable. Please be confident of your purchase of BBP Day Passes and your participation in The Official Big Boy Pride 2022 event prior to purchase.
